Juvenile Justice

Juvenile Justice, through institutions or social service agency contacts, connects trained adults with young people to help them make good choices and establish a solid foundation in life.

Like every ministry of YFC, Juvenile Justice seeks to engage these young people wherever they are found as life-long followers of Jesus Christ.

It's estimated that 25% of our young people today are deemed "at-risk youth," according to the National Research Council Panel on High-Risk Youth (1995). The National Juvenile Justice Ministry Department has defined an at-risk young person as a youth who has experienced significant damage and is likely to damage the lives of others. A "significantly damaged life" is defined as the presence of negative influences that increase the likelihood of destructive life choices.
